Maurice Lacroix Pontos Decentrique GMT Watch
A lovely timepiece, our friends Hypebeast summarized it better than we could…
-“Aligning itself with Wallpaper*, premier Swiss watchmakers Maurice Lacroix present this special new partnership project, allowing three of the world’s most prolific designers to take their own spin with Lacroix’s Pontos Decentrique GMT Watch. This first design we see was created by fashion designer...
Supra EE Avenger
Supra EE Avenger is definitely one clean sneaker. This particular model comes in 2 colorways, with a black and red also in the mix showing off some nice variation. Check out more info on this and see the other colorways here.
John Varvatos Black Onyx Beads
A strong wrist accessory for the man looking for such a charm, the John Varvatos Black Onyx beads design are definitely a go to, with stylish, functional and bold pieces this year. Check out more here.
Edox Chronorally Watch
Watches that feature a racing inspired design have always fascinated me. This watch from Edox has a ridiculous amount of features, including a carefully crafted band that draws its design from that of the modern day race car tire, but the overall construct and design of the watch in general is really breathtaking. More photos and information available here.
Common Projects Slipon
Common Projects has released a two-tone selection from this seasons line up provide a nice throwback of previous basic, single colored offerings while keeping the luxurious feel of Italian Nappa leather albeit with black nubuck inserts. Though you’ll find a canvas version from Van’s at a cut rate, there’s no finer shoe to go sockless this summer than one from CP. Available here.

New beginnings...
So some of you may or may not know, but The Elegant Scoundrel was founded as a clothing brand. This blog was originally created to chronicle the life of an up and coming company trying to make it in an increasingly difficult industry to make it in.
But somewhere along the line, things got scary. It’s sometimes pretty hard to admit that the times are hard, and it’s not pretty out...

BAGUA Footwear
High class shoes and sneakers are always a given, but sometimes you need something that’s just plain comfortable. The issue is however, that most shoes that are comfy also tend to be ugly as hell (Case in Point:Crocs). That’s why these fresh kicks from Bagua are such a fortunate find. They provide the comfort of slippers, and style without making it look too overly casual or formal....
UTS 1000 Meter Professional Diver V.2
“Top Grade finishing with a Glucydor balance wheel and Incabloc shock protection.” I believe thats code for, “This watch is sexy as hell, and probably out of your tax bracket, but its okay to drool.” Salivate some more after the jump.

Max Bill By Junghans Watches 2010
I don’t know much about this watch, and I honestly don’t care much about the details. What I do know is that this watch is sexy as hell, and I want it. If you want it too, then check out the link.
Lee Harkness Shirt Co.
Lee Harkins Shirt Co. is a throwback to an era when a man’s staple was a good oxford shirt. They however, have a unique approach to the traditional style, by allowing for interchangeable collars that do everything from making the shirt seem entirely different to simply dishing your not-as-clean-as-it-was-in-the-morning collar for a fresh one. Check out more at their site.
Murdock BarberShop - London
Many old concepts are best left in the past, but not the barbershop. Brendan Murdock believed this statement so strongly that in May 2006, he opened Murdock, an upscale, traditional barbershop on Old Street in the funky design district of Shoreditch in East London. Murdock was right, of course, and two more of his “male grooming nirvanas” have opened since — in September 2007 in Liberty’s...
ACRYLICK 2010 Spring
Ive been in a very musical mood lately, really vibing with the culture of music as a whole, whether that be hip hop, or jazz, or any other of the countless genres. So upon seeing ACRYLICK’s 2010 lineup, I couldnt help but be impressed. Smooth subtle styling really give the whole collection a nice clean, crisp look, and it does so without making it look like a fad. Me likes.

Benny Gold Dough Boy
Benny Gold is a brand that ES definitely loves, and the Doughboy New Era was one of the most coveted item on our wishlists from last year, so its safe to say that we are more than happy to except this new edition of the classic now available from BG. Check it out here.
ERNST BENZ Limited Edition
Im always a fan of watches that manage to inject a little culture into what is normally a very standard affair of timekeeping. The ERNST BENZ Limited Edition does just that, even if its at a ludicris price point, but beggars cant be choosers I suppose.

BePositive Footwear Collection
Speaking from personal experience, its not always easy to find comfortable footwear for the office or work environment that retains its style and class without being overly casual, but BePositive teeters that line ever so nicely, with a solid collection of footwear for the business casual crowd, filling a void you didn’t even know was there. Available here.
Citizen Independent x Yoshio Kubo
Watches that are able to use interesting color without being too ostentatious are a rarity, but the latest collaboration between Citizen Independent and Yoshio Kubo is certainly an exceptional example of such coordination. The timepiece draws inspiration from military design, and is available here.

Nom de Guerre S/S 2010
The brand is inspired by military garb ironically, but the actual cut of most of the clothes has a very vintage and upstanding feel to it, giving the whole collection a unique look I really haven’t seen in a while. That and I like the fact that I haven’t the faintest idea on how to pronounce the name. More info here.
Opening Ceremony Spring 10

Marshall Headphones
The market for vintage well made headphones is quickly becoming saturated with newcomers, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as Marshall Headphones looks to be making some well crafted audio equipment for the lofi snob in all of us. More info here.
Gourmet Sedici
Sedici apparently means 16 in Italian, and these kicks are sure sweet enough to be named after the number. Check out more here.
The Weekly Villain
Jacques Mesrine was an architecture student from a middle-class family who went off to fight in the Algerian War while a teenager, and returned in 1959 with a lust for violence that only a criminal lifestyle could satisfy. In the early 1960s he re-invented himself as a flamboyant villain, the kind of man who would hold up a bank on one side of the street and then, with the police sirens...

Union Glashutte Watches
Perfectly walking the line between sophistication and simplicity, these watches are a nice throw back to a more refined time when watches weren’t over saturated with dials that you had no use for. Available here.
Lacoste Wool Mannish Hat Collection
Lacoste is a brand that is known more for its polos and shoes than head wear, but the lack of previous works don’t make these wool hats any less stunning, and the color combination’s aren’t too shabby either. Available here.
January Jones x GQ Magazine
Mad Men madame January Jones recently did a pictorial and interview for GQ magazine, and after reading it, you start to get the impression that she doesnt entirely like the character she portrays on the show. But then again, who would want to play a trophy wife of a successful yet unfaithful Ad Man in 1960’s New York? More pics and info here.

Noir Basic S/S 2010
There is something highly refreshing about the bad boy vibe emanating from Noir Basic’s upcoming line. Maybe its the leather, maybe its the dark sports coat, or maybe its just the fact that the dude wearing all of it looks like he just doesn’t give a what, but its definitely an awesome collection to check out when it drops in Spring of 2010.

BMW S.X Concept
BMW has always been known for a signature look, so its really refreshing to see some conceptual designs that stray from their normal aesthetic while still keeping the heart and soul of what makes a BMW so nice to look at. This is just a concept for the moment, but with smooth Aston Martin DB9 like lines, here is hoping this one goes into production.

Tom Ford Silk Bow Tie
A good bow tie is hard to find for a few reasons. Personally, I find that if your going with the option of wearing a bow tie, you want to do everything BUT fit in with the crowd. But there is a fine line between stylish fashion statement, and well, looking like a clown. That’s why this silk bow tie from Tom Ford is such a convenient find. It provides the class and individualism needed from...
Thom Browne Samsonite Black Label Attache...
Don’t ask me why, but this briefcase reminds me of both Madmen, and Oceans Eleven, and I can’t help but love both influences, in this suitcase from Thom Browne. I could explain in detail why this suitcase rocks, but Ill instead just let you see for yourself why this carry on is so awesome. More information here.
