 Lee Harkins Shirt Co. is a throwback to an era when a man’s staple was a good oxford shirt. They however, have a unique approach to the traditional style, by allowing for interchangeable collars that do everything from making the shirt seem entirely different to simply dishing your not-as-clean-as-it-was-in-the-morning collar for a fresh one.  Many old concepts are best left in the past, but not the barbershop. Brendan Murdock believed this statement so strongly that in May 2006, he opened Murdock, an upscale, traditional barbershop on Old Street in the funky design district of Shoreditch in East London. Murdock was right, of course, and two more of his “male grooming nirvanas” have opened since — in September 2007 in Liberty’s department store and in August 2009 among the high-fashion boutiques on Stafford Street in Mayfair. Still in his mid-thirties, Murdock has taken the scenic route to barbershopping — ambling from financial studies to a career as a lawyer, and then opening the CRU restaurant in Shoreditch in 2002. He now focuses solely on all aspects of his shaving emporiums that offer the traditional wet shave, haircuts, manicures and facials.  Ive been in a very musical mood lately, really vibing with the culture of music as a whole, whether that be hip hop, or jazz, or any other of the countless genres. So upon seeing ACRYLICK’s 2010 lineup, I couldnt help but be impressed. Smooth subtle styling really give the whole collection a nice clean, crisp look, and it does so without making it look like a fad. Me likes.

 Im always a fan of watches that manage to inject a little culture into what is normally a very standard affair of timekeeping. The ERNST BENZ Limited Edition does just that, even if its at a ludicris price point, but beggars cant be choosers I suppose.

Speaking from personal experience, its not always easy to find comfortable footwear for the office or work environment that retains its style and class without being overly casual, but BePositive teeters that line ever so nicely, with a solid collection of footwear for the business casual crowd, filling a void you didn’t even know was there. Watches that are able to use interesting color without being too ostentatious are a rarity, but the latest collaboration between Citizen Independent and Yoshio Kubo is certainly an exceptional example of such coordination. The timepiece draws inspiration from military design, and is available here.

The brand is inspired by military garb ironically, but the actual cut of most of the clothes has a very vintage and upstanding feel to it, giving the whole collection a unique look I really haven’t seen in a while. That and I like the fact that I haven’t the faintest idea on how to pronounce the name. More info here.

FUCT seems to have come out of the closet with some class with the release of these hats, which have a definite polish to them that shows good craftsmanship from the company.
