Hands down, my favorite show on Television, Mad Men holds a special place for me as it really introduced me to what style and substance really meant ‘back in the day.’ So its little wonder then that I was more than thrilled when Complex Magazine ran an article on how to dress like the gentlemen from Mad Men. Adidas has recently entered into the Skateboard scene with some really solid pieces, but in all honesty none of them have really grabbed my attention. Until I saw this shoe. The ‘Diagonal’ is a shoe made in celebration of their upcoming video of the same name. More information is available here.

Jeweler Azendi has just unveiled the 09 collection, which features a few fun pieces that combine a type of grit and polish that is really consistent throughout the entire collection, with the dog tags above being prime example of what you can expect from Azendi in terms of quality and attention to detail.

I am a fan of watches that stand out and have a great design to them, so the Brownbreath x Alive Tokyo 12 Gan-ji Watch fits that bill perfectly for me. The watch runs on 12 hour increments that represent the entire day as opposed to 2 rotations that make up 24 for normal watches, and it also has a beautiful dial and adjustment knobs that all ring true to its asian roots. A very cool idea, these wallets are made using vintage money bags from various banks, and are both comfortable and sturdy, and as a plus they look awesome and presumabley make you look more cultured than you probably are, and as a plus they will only set you back 35 bones. Available here.

Normally, when thinking Japan and alcohol, the first thing that comes to my mind is Sake’, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn of the Yamazaki 12 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey, which is aged 12 years in Japan in 3 different Oak casts, making it the perfect blend of sweet and bitter that you would expect from such a fine product of time and patience. Somewhere down the line, ties devolved from simple yet well made accesories to cluttered, ugly walmart purchases for those late to a job interview. It seems that Vittorio J. though, has not forgotten about the true beauty of the neck tie, the simplicity and attention to the build of the actual tie more so than what is on the tie. Even though I live in a extremely hot climate, I really look forward to Fall and Winter so I can break out my favorite jackets, and I can definitely say that this is gonna be one of those for this season. Another sterling example of how minimalism can translate to beauty, the Royston Landscape Watch is a classic sophisticated timepiece made around the core fundamentals of simplicity.
