The Demise of the Classic Woman

The modern woman. Attractive, healthy, liberal, and in most cases considered to be of more intelligence due to better education. More women pursue post secondary education now than any other time in history, and all around, options have never been more available to women in what was once an entirely male dominated world.

But despite all these advances, improvements, and what not, there is a definite lack of class in the modern woman. While older more mature women have come to understand that poise and character are an essential quality, it seems like this message skipped a generation, and now so more than ever, there is a real lack of what was once termed, ‘being lady-like.’

Some might attribute this to the breakdown in chivalry among men, and in all honesty, the likely hood is that both are to blame. Men used to open doors for women, not as a gesture to try and get on a woman’s good side to bed her later, but because it was expected of them. The act of courtesy was in general looked upon as something that you just did because it was right. Now though, it seems that parents are failing to instill these moral values into their children, so in turn, men act like buffoon’s with no respect for anyone around them whatsoever, and women tend to respond to this by degrading themselves in order to seem more ‘desirable’ to men.

Ladies, listen up. This is a key point that few will ever explain, but it needs to be said. There is a difference between a girl that turns men on and entices, and a woman. Most credible men will tell you that in the end, trust, loyalty, and respect are the single most important thing that a man can have in a partner. Along with skin like bronze and cheek bones that would make the goddess Athena jealous. But the issue is, that today, women tend to think that taking off their clothes is a sure sign of bagging a guy. Not so. Show us that you have some respect for yourself, and don’t be prudish about it, and we are sold. A woman with class and elegance is literally by far the most attractive thing in the world, and therein lies the difference between a girl, and a woman. Women are composed, they have a slight wile to them that makes them seem enchanting and just beyond reach, and they don’t play unnecessary games. That is what a real woman is, and she embodies this in her every breath and movement.

So ladies of my generation, take note. Class and substance is slowly but surely starting to seep its way back and recreating the more traditional refined man once more. Make yourself stand out from other tasteless and unrefined women, and you will have our hearts on a platter, and when that happens, the world will realize that chivalry, class, substance, and style never really died, they just were waiting for you to wake them up.
