Good, original stories, are hard to come by these days. Movies have lost their once surprise filled twists and turns, and TV plots are nothing more than redundant and annoying. So leave it up to the comic book genre to reinvigorate one of the most loved of all story telling, Crime Noir.

Criminal, is simply put, one of the best and most memorable comic books I have ever read. It has believable characters, amazing storylines, wonderful art, and the plots are fantastic, and it keeps you guessing what will happen next with every page turn. Even if you are not much a comic book person, you will love this series, and The Elegant Scoundrel HIGHLY suggests that even if you dont buy a copy, at least read it at your local shop. Its that good.

Depthcore, has done an amazing job with the latest chapter in the artist series, dedicated to one of my favorite genre’s in art, Noir. The overall scope of artist involved in this project is simply exhilirating, and there is a lot to be learned from most every work on display.

Melding classic appreal with photomanipulations, some of the works range from understandable to simply abstract, but there is nothing simple about any of the aforementioned works. Depthcore has truly outdone itself with this collection, and definitely given Noir enthusiats like myself, something to pour over for some much needed inspiration.
